B1 - up to and including 5 tonne

B2 - over 5 tonne – up to and including 15 tonne
B1 Counterbalance courses can be provided at Prospect Forklift Training Centre and Customer Premises.
B2 Counterbalance courses can be provided at Customer Premises.

A counterbalance forklift is the most common type of truck used in the UK. The counterbalance truck uses a counterweight at the rear of the truck to offset, or counterbalance, the weight of a load carried at the front of the truck. They can be used in a number of different environments and can lift a variety of heavy loads.
We provide training on the following categories:

Novice training - Operators with no previous experience.
Duration: 3-5 Days
​
Experienced operator training - Operators with some experience but uncertified. Duration: 2-3 Days
​
Conversion training - Conversion training from one type of truck to another. Duration: 1-2 Days
​
Refresher training - Periodic refresher training for certified operators. Duration: 1 Day
​
On successful completion of this training course trainees will be able to operate the machine safely and skillfully. They will have practiced maneuvering the machine in confined areas, stacked and de-stacked at various levels, and will have been instructed in pre-shift inspection and refueling procedures.
